Coaching Resources
Resources + Tools to help you connect with and support your clients.
Not just the "what"I had very low expectations when I signed my two-year-old daughter up for a six-week soccer camp through our city one year. My curiosity and amusement mounted as we watched the coach pull up in a tiny little smart car with 50 soccer balls and a couple of nets crammed in with him. Decked out in his soccer uniform, and old enough to be a grandparent to the kids at the camp I was genuinely invested by the time he was down on all fours greeting each child by name. Even though it was extremely clear that he lived and breathed soccer for his entire life, it was his delivery that had me blown away. Using storytelling, silly voices, animals, and familiar local landmarks to keep the tot's attention he was able to teach them several key soccer skills all while keeping it light and fun. So how does this translate to coaching parents? Coach Peter was clearly an expert on all things soccer, but it was the tools he used to match his specific audience that made the biggest impact. The thing is, you can know all of the research on parenting, but the delivery is just as important. We are excited to build a whole army of Coach Peters (whether you're a coach or just work with people) by building a whole library of resources to help you hone your coaching skills. |
