that we are big fans of the Developmental Affirmations and their creator, Jean Illsley Clarke!

The Developmental Affirmations help us to remember that we are capable, lovable people. They help us to love and care for others, and they remind us that we are always growing and that there is always hope.

Jean always had a large bowl filled with affirmations sitting in her kitchen. She believed that the affirmations we need to hear sometimes just show up when we need them, so she would invite people to put their hand in the bowl and move it around until they felt an affirmation call to be pulled out. After we had a chance to read it, she would ask, "Does it fit for you today?" More often than not, it did. 

Jean was a beloved teacher, mentor, and friend. One way we love to keep her memory alive is by sharing her affirmations with everyone. So, we figured we would bring her affirmation bowl activity to the digital age! 

Pause the video to randomly select an affirmation (or two, or three...) and say them out loud to yourself. Do they fit?
